Well, it couldn't all be roses (get it – Portland, Rose City, Rose Garden). For some reason, brands (well, mainly Nike and adidas so far) have fallen in love with this felt/suede material this past year and a half. The adidas dame 5 black panther started the trend, the Kobe AD Exodus had it, the adidas Pro Vision and now the Dame 5. This material IS NOT GOOD!!! It feels cheap in hand and wears terribly; it gets dirty super-quick, balls up like lint and holds moisture and heat like a champ. Going full-mesh like the forefoot would have been better, but the need to break up the upper construction had to be met, so we get felt.
The 1979 adidas marathon tech white orange was adidas' first trail shoe. This update of the shoes puts a futuristic spin on that vintage style by pairing the archival upper with a Boost midsole. The more energy you give, the more you get. The upper has a mix of suede and mesh for a breathable feel and textured look.
The adidas lxcon black green is an interesting new look for the Brand with the Three Stripes. The shoe begins with what appears to be a one-piece mesh upper with extra addition for support. First, a translucent tube zigzags back and forth across the upper, acting as a lacing system and extending to the heel as a Lexicon's pull tabs.
Belgian designer adidas ozweego white grey takes his collaborative adidas' signature Ozweego model and dips it in metal in two colorways. Both shoes have a metallic midsole and outsole designed to effectively split the model in half. One has a white mesh and leather upper, while the other has pink on the upper half with subtle silver branding on the tongue. Though it may not seem like it at first, the sneaker is rounded off with a black rubber outsole for traction and comfort.
