    * 1 6-ounce canned tuna
    * ¼ cup sliced black olives
    * ¼ cup sliced green olives
    * ¼ cup canola oil
    * 1 large tomato, sliced
    * 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
    * 1tablespoon red wine vinegar
    * Garnish with fresh lettuce
    * Salt to taste

Tuna is among our planet's most valuable commercial species fished by more than 70 countries all around the world and sold in fresh, canned, pouched and frozen form. Most folks get canned tuna, because it presents them with an easy and delicious ways to add essential nutrients to their daily diet, including lean protein, good fat and essential vitamins and minerals. The great thing about tuna is that it has loads of protein and it's of the highest quality, much lower in saturated fat and cholesterol than an equal serving of pork, beef, chicken or lamb.

So when it comes to eating healthy, canned tuna has it all, because it’s rich in protein yet low in fat and calories and it's the ideal source of the essential omega-3 fatty acids that are known to lower cholesterol levels and blood pressure. And when you add to that all the vitamins and minerals contain in vegetables, our tortellini with tuna recipe is perfect for breakfast or a light lunch.

The US Food And Drug Administration recommends eating at least 2 meals a week of a variety of fish including tuna, because a diet rich in fish that are high in omega-3 fatty acids can prevent cognitive decline, depression, dementia, asthma and neuropsychiatric disorders.

   1. Cook the tortellini according to the instructions on the package.

   1. In a large bowl, combine the tortellini with the tuna (stirred), tomato slices and olives. Whisk in the mayonnaise, red wine vinegar and add oil in a slow, steady stream.

   1. Use the fresh lettuce to lay it as a foundation for the salad on a plate. Then simply pour over the tortellini-tuna mixture and stir in some salt to taste. Cover it and let it chill for about 20 minutes.
